Each year, Americans send 21 billion pounds of clothing waste to landfills. Often made with toxic dyes and plastic-derived, man-made fibers, most clothes will take hundreds of years to break down while generating greenhouse gasses as they do. Traditional garment making utilizes a variety of different non-biodegradable and environmentally harmful materials when the majority of clothing we wear on a daily basis can function and survive without them (and without compromising performance).
Work backward. We focused on garment disposal, knowing that if we only used materials that were safe enough for the earth to take back, then not only would we solve the problem, but we'd also ensure that the garment’s entire life cycle would be 100% safe from a human-ecological perspective.
The End Result
We manufacture high-end, ethically-sourced, plant-based menswear that can be composted after years and years of use instead of having no other choice but to end up in a landfill. Even better, our clothes won’t stress the environment when worn or washed because the microfibers will safely biodegrade without a trace.
